|All dreamers welcome here. We all have our own set of dreams just as we all have our own way of making art. This is a home for those just beginning and those already well on their way. Here's hoping all our dreams become reality.|
Anyone can join! We do not examine your gallery first. Just click on the join button and you're in. All skill levels and forms of art are welcome.
Please submit only your own works to our gallery.
Members are allowed to submit 6 works each day. To submit work to our gallery, you must be a member of the group.
Make sure to submit your work to the correct folders. Our folders are set up much like DA submit categories to make things easier. For anything you are unsure where to submit, we have a Misc. folder. If it needs to be moved our admins can do that for you from there.
The Featured folder is where a different member will be highlighted each week. The featured artist will be chosen at random each week from our active members. Please do NOT submit your art to this folder, but instead submit it to the gallery folder it belongs in.
Please remember we have a wide age variety here, so use Mature Filters as necessary. This keeps the group a environment for all members and locations.
If you would like to see us create a specific folder please send a note. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
If you have any problems or suggestions, please send a note to myself or the other Admins. We will reply and fix the issue as soon as possible.
Thank you all for being part of this dream!
Cool kids (part 1)In a suburban two story house, a young sixteen year old, fair skinned brunette boy was putting the finishing touches to his outfit for the school day ahead. His designer brand black and green sneakers went well with new dark washed jeans and white and green polo shirt. “Lynn! You almost done?” his mother’s voice travels from the bottom of the stairs to his room.Cool kids (part 1) by eriko-neko
His hands go through his shoulder length hair as he makes his way to the mirror in his room, positioned over his light grayish dresser, “Getting there!” he answers back as he picks up a black rubber band that was carelessly just tossed on the dresser. He pulls his hair back into a low ponytail then wraps the hair tie around.
To the outside world, Lynn seems pretty normal. His shoes always looked out the box, his clothes always matched, he would smile and greet almost everyone. His mom was kind and on the younger side. Though it was just the two of them at home, her job was good enough to support th
Everyday StruggleComplicated in search of simplisticEveryday Struggle by RealityIntolerant
Seeking what seems far from realistic
Tired of pain I smile to mask
Sick of questions people constantly ask
Misunderstood I label myself
Everyday stress worsens my health
Seeing the world through my eyes
Would help many finally realize
What is to them just normalcy
Is my fantasy for simplicity

A thousand stars shine bright
In midnight sky
They keep the dreams alight
For you and I
When darkest hours hatch
And nightmares creep
The eyes of heaven watch
Over our sleep
City Of DreamsCity Of DreamsCity Of Dreams by TheDarkenedBride
This city never sleeps
And neither do you, Holly,
Restlessly moving back and forth
Like a tinsel pendulum
You dream while wide awake
As many stray cats do
Of diamond collars and red carpets
Or maybe just a name
Your calling-cards say “travelling”
And packed suitcases nod;
When dog days come knock at your door
There’s always Tiffany’s
The price of freedom has been set
When you bought me that cage
I am keeping it empty
As I promised I would
The fire-escape’s your wire palace
On it you take refuge
Your guitar and sad country songs
I still think of you quite too much
Hoping saint Christopher knows
Whether you’re alive or dead
Just don’t come back, please let me dream

Behind The LensHello everybody, welcome to my darkened realm You're used to me sharing various kinds of journals, so hopefully you will like this brand new concept :iconnerdplz: Once in a while I'll be interviewing a friend whom I find special in one way or another You'll get to know a bit about them, their art and what makes them stand out to me.Behind The Lens by TheDarkenedBride
Luckily the first person I'm going to introduce you to is a great guy who made it so much easier for me to come up with good questions. He has a sparkling sense of humour, he likes Van Morrison mushrooms :iconshroomplz: and on the other hand he doesn't like me thinking too much about everything... well, too bad for him :iconpotatodanceplz: Last but not least he's a fabulous photographer (he tends to be modest about his skills, then better don't listen to him )
Please welcome :iconbuntcone:
:iconthedarkenedbride: You said you started taking photography seriously about 2
Help a friend get over the loss of her pet/CONTESTArtists, please please read this:Help a friend get over the loss of her pet/CONTEST by Malleni-Stock
I want to share this contest with you and it would really mean a lot to me personally if you took part,
and it would mean even more to NarsisBlack, a talented artist and great member of our community.
She has lost her beloved cat these days in a horrible way and is going through some hard times now.
To get over the loss easier and have some nice memories, she asked for some support to hold a contest.
Some people reacted to that in a really rude, respectless and insensitive way which made me really angry and
disappointed about some people in the community.
Please help her get over this bad experience and take part in the contest.
The task is simple - manipulate one of the photos of her
little 'Zazzles' to create a beautiful memory of him.
She is taking prize donations as well (:

This article discusses the world of online MOOC's Learning online a personal look at two current MOOC's and what they offer your art.
I have recently been fortunate enough to have discovered online MOOC's Learning online from top professionals in many fields. I learnt this through my social network connections and had some spare time, and thought "It's Free" I will give it a go.
I signed up for my first online class last September, called Modern and Contemporary Poetry from University of Pennsylvania or 'Modpo" as it was happily referred to by the other 20,000 plus students completing the course online.
The course was free.
